It is a biannual publication, the number corresponding to the first semester is published in the month of July and that corresponding to the second semester in December of each year.

The journal accepts three types of contributions:

2) Essays: Reviews or original reflections on a specific topic related to early childhood, k-12, or tertiary education. These may include theoretical or methodological discussions as well as reflections based on empirical data (maximum length: 5,000 words).

3) Experiences: Articles that catalogue or explore innovative practices developed within educational institutions, in relation to management, teaching, institutional analysis or research on internal processes, or initiatives inspired by teacher´s unions. Peer Review Process

All articles are initially reviewed by the editorial team of "Calidad en la Educación” to verify that they comply with the editorial standards of the journal and conform to their editorial focus.

Those articles that pass this first review are sent blindly to two peers. These peers are selected using the SciELO and Google academic editorial databases.

The process continues until two blind peers’ evaluations are collected. If there is no agreement between these two peers, a third peer evaluator, or a member of the Editorial Committee, is asked to evaluate the article. Each article published must have received at least two positive peer evaluation.

In case of rejection, the associated editor sends e-mail to the authors informing the decision and thanking the submission. In case of acceptance, it is communicated to the authors, also communicating the comments and suggestions from the peer evaluators. Changes must be included and/or justified by the authors.

Once the updated manuscript is received, changes are verified by editorial team. If changes are satisfactory, the article is admitted for publication. Minor comments and suggestions may still be shared and asked for corrections. If changes are not satisfactory the authors are notified and asked for revision changes. Thus, until the editorial team considers the manuscript is satisfactory.
