This paper presents the experience of Higher Council of Education (CSE, for the Spanish acronym) in the counseling field. First, it shows the evolution of the link between CSE and the world of secondary education and the efforts made to create a network and an electronic forum for high school counselors. As a second point, the document explains the difficulties of this experience and how the working strategy have switched from focusing on counselors to focusing on counseling as an aspect of school management. Finally, the paper presents a project supporting counseling in Maipú and Peñalolén towns since 2008 and the lessons learned.Downloads
