Tertiary education around the world faces a set of new circumstances in the social organization of work and the emergent postmodern cultures since its massiveness, differentiation and diversification. Under these circumstances, current questions formulated to higher education institutions on their relationship to labor markets are at risk of becoming obsolete and, in turn, need to be questioned. Labor relevance and curricula based on competences do not exhaust the meaning of higher education. Universities can not be blindly adapted to the changing dynamics of labor markets.Downloads
