Este artículo revisa las prácticas de planeación estratégica entre 2000 y 2005 en ocho universidades del Consejo de Rectores, con diferentes sistemas de gobiernos, régimen de propiedad y orientación de proyectos educativos. La investigación evidencia la motivación de las universidades por incursionar en procesos de planeación estratégica y uso de instrumental de gestión desarrollado en el mundo de la administración de empresas. Sin embargo, el análisis exhaustivo de las diferentes etapas de planeación estratégica muestra debilidades en la implementación, monitoreo y retroalimentación.Downloads
