Abstract

The paper refers to the incidence of research in education carried out by universities and the connection with the curricula for initial training in pedagogy provided to Pre-School and Elementary School teachers. The paper shows that research studies carried out by university teachers have little effect on undergraduate teacher training. It also identifies the manifest tension that exists between research and teaching in initial teacher training
