In their different stages, higher education systems (HES) in Latin America have aspects in common that allow different authors to establish a classification. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the funding models for the HES from different groups, specifically in Mexico, Chile, Bolivia, Costa Rica and Uruguay, so as to verify whether said models show any links with the results of the classification. Results show that, regardless of the group to which the HES belong, the predominant funding model is an incremental one.Downloads
