Many students who enter university are deficient in the necessary knowledge and skills. This is due to deficiencies in their school training and the requirements of higher education which are not covered by school study programs. In order to deal with the causes of this problem, the different levels of education need to be systemically coordinated in a life-long education approach using a strategy to improve initial and ongoing teacher training (in the field of higher education) to bridge the gap between the requirements imposed by a reformed curriculum and the teaching skills that enable students to achieve learning.Downloads
