The type of student that enrolls at the DuocUC Professional Institute has severe educational deficiencies in the area of mathematics. This has forced DuocUC to provide the necessary tools to allow students to advance in their higher education studies and thus have a real opportunity to gain access to a technical or professional degree. In 2001, DuocUC initiated a remedial project on knowledge of mathematics by giving a remedial course for students at the School of Engineering. The pilot plan was underway until 2002 during which time it defined the contents, methodological strategies, teaching and learning aids and evaluation tools.Downloads
