The paper describes the training stages for teachers from the Antonio Varas campus of the Instituto Profesional DuocUC in online courses (CEL), conducted by the Academic Affairs Office and the Educational Technology Unit (UTED) in 2001 and the first semester of 2002. The project was intended to prepare the DuocUC Institute for the changeover to new programs including supplements based on the Internet (a combined method), using the main approach of the educational model employed by Institute, that is, to learn by doing. Thus, DuocUC's competitive advantage in innovation in education is preserved.
