PENTA UC developed as a way to deal with the educational needs and abilities of academically talented school children thanks to a concerted effort made by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) and public and private organizations. Four years after the program began, it caters to 530 schoolchildren enrolled mostly in municipal schools and lyceums. It has had positive results, for the students and for families and schools, a fact that has led to an increasing demand for this type of educational services in other regions in Chile. Consequently, the Center for Studies and the Development of Studies at the PUC has initiated the transfer of the PENTA UC model to four Chilean universities.Downloads
