This paper reports results from a research on procedures for accreditation of ITT programs that Accreditation agencies follow in Chile. It analyzes whether the specific procedures for program evaluation are reliable or whether they depend on the judgment of the agency. Results show that despite agencies comply with current regulations, aspects that are regulated and have accurate descriptions about how to proceed are very few in relation to the huge number of procedures and decisions to be made by agencies, and so their work is much discretionary.Downloads
