Abstract

This document systematizes the work of the public private initiative "Elige Educar" (Choose teaching), which constitutes an innovative social entrepreneurship aimed to reverse the low levels of social valuation of teachers in Chile. To that end, it sets a context for understanding the rationale and explains its action in general terms. Likewise, it specially reviews the work Elige Educar has developed with a number of Universities, both in attracting talented students through scholarships and through communications campaigns developed by the initiative. Finally, it presents challenges in terms of work in schools of education of different Universities.
