Faculty managements policies at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile

This paper presents an overview of the new Faculty Management's Policies at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, that will make possible the development of a diversity of aims and interests; and, therefore, a variety of possibilities for the faculty career progress. This paper describes the current situation and shows a synthesis of its present challenges in the development of its faculty staff, its Faculties and Departments, and finally, in the Institutional Development Plan. This paper briefly explains the ten main points of the new policy and gives especial emphasis in its core concepts (career, category and academic profile) and its implementation strategy.
