The Tuning Latin America Project was developed as part of the process initiated with the Bologna Declaration, which gave rise to the project Tuning Educational Structures in Europe. The main purpose of the former is to launch a dialogue to share information and improve collaboration among higher education centers, with emphasis on improving quality, effectiveness and transparency. The paper shows the main achievements in Latin America and provides detailed examples of the experience in the field of medicine, through an area map and results chart related to establishing a profile of the competences required by physicians that graduate from universities in the region.Downloads
