Abstract

In order to rate the quality of distance learning courses, one must have studies that contribute to advance knowledge, theory and practice in the evaluation of environments that use Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in their educational processes. A model was proposed to enable a holistic evaluation of educational management of such courses, in order to improve, redesign, or redefine their planning. Subsequently, a limited implementation of this model to validate part of its structure and employment procedure was carried out. The results showed that it is feasible to compile data to introduce changes in teaching, administrative, financial and technical planning of a course. The model must be adjusted as far as its designing process continues, determining how it will adapt to the different educational realities.
