Institutional and curricula accreditation represent a seal of quality awarded by a public entity that has a long term vision of what excellence in higher education should be, and assures vital aspects such as the consistency of curricula, the quality of teachers, and the career of graduated students. Its accreditation is also a clear indicator for choosing a field of specialization or curriculum. For the University of Concepción that has focused on quality as the center of its institutional policy, accreditation is a commitment. This paper discusses the experience of this institution in its accreditation processes, highlighting the impact that they have had on its management.Downloads
