Investigating the quality of graduate degrees in Social Sciences in Chile is crucial if we consider, among other evidences, the limited number of PhD programs offered. This is a key matter in relation to the three major challenges faced by the country in order to improve development, that is: respond to social inequality, promote educational coverage and quality, and increase investment in the production of knowledge, because this raises an enormous question: How can all this be done with the existing scarcity of human resources and high level programs in Social Sciences?Downloads
