Abstract

Establishing networks to articulate technical training is one of the strategies defined by the Chilecalifica Program. It is intended to create the bases for the Lifelong Training System and to help improve the quality and pertinence of the training of technicians in matters that the different regions have defined as priority areas. By funding projects aimed at articulation, these networks are expected to develop modular training proposals based on a labor skills approach, to coordinate the different technical training levels and education methods. They are also expected to acknowledge previous learning attained by individuals, regardless of the way in which such knowledge was achieved. The biggest challenge faced by this strategy in order to be successful is to bring about a cultural change in organizations so as to generate trust and interaction within the networks, enhancing a dynamic of collaboration and participation capable of persisting over time
