Universidad Arturo Prat is a public corporation that is a member of the Council of University Presidents. Since its establishment as one of the branches of the Universidad de Chile in 1984, it has experienced an important process of development and expansion. The University has a large student body, an adequate capacity for applied research, nationwide presence, and a specific university model. This is based on an organizational culture that has enabled it to set up several management factors that are crucial to development. The paper describes three management aspects of the University, two of which are associated to biological processes that allow for a certain degree of formulation.Downloads
