This paper describes the accreditation process in the Sound Technology study program at the Universidad Pérez Rosales from an institutional point of view. The paper provides a description of the study program, of the process for having it included in the accreditation program headed by the National Commission for Undergraduate Accreditation (CNAP) and the different stages involved. The paper also analyzes the importance of the Selfassessment report and the fields employed for implementing it, in addition to the impact that the accreditation process has on the program and on institutional activities.
