Abstract

Continuous education programs offered by Chilean higher education institutions have grew vigorously in number, subjects, forms and denominations. Quality on comparative basis is somehow difficult to establish due to absence of minimum consensus on definitions and adequated processes of evaluation and certification of these programs.

Development of this activity matches growing demands for proffesional improvement but it require, urgently at least agreement on minimum definitions to standardized either the format or the content of the various programs actually in progress.
