University websites are pivotal platforms to inform about the activities of the institution across all its spheres. With the enactment of Law 21,369, which regulates gender inclusion and addresses gender-based violence in universities, the question arises regarding the integration of these matters on such websites. Drawing on Sara Ahmed's theoretical work on the use of gender in universities, this study investigates the use of gender websites within gender equity offices across the 10 universities in the Valparaíso region. Each university’s access to the gender equity office's website, its usability, the available resources, and the means for reporting incidents are examined. The findings reveal that, while all universities have dedicated websites addressing gender issues and the handling of gender-based violence, there is significant disparity in available information, accessibility challenges, and information regarding reporting an abuse and its processing. It is concluded that universities’ websites should be considerably improved in order to facilitate access to relevant information on gender-based violence for students and academics on gender violence.
