Abstract

This work describes the evaluation process of faculty members in academic activities such as research and creation. It is aimed at reaching universal criteria relevant to all disciplines in order to objectify the evaluation of the individual academic performance. To this end. this process focuses in comparing scientific and art areas. Likewise. it presents a series of specific considerations related to the evaluation of each area and points out the relevant parameters to be evaluated. This analysis could be helpful for other institutions also having to evaluate an academic activity that is diverse in its nature always taking into account that research and creation are all sources of knowledge.
